This green super smoothie is my go-to smoothie everytime I want to recharge. It has also served me as lunch replacement if I’m caught up in work. Or to be honest, this green super smoothie is also a good dinner for one companion.
When I got divorced and the kids weren’t home my appetite to cook was just not there. However instead of resorting to a bag of crips, which believe me was tempting from time to time. This green super smoothie turned into a smoothie bowl with muesli, berries and shaved coconut.
Because I know, cooking for one is not always that much fun. Even though you know you should, it’s not that simple. I hope this green super smoothie will save you both time and energy when there’s a lack of it.
A mean green super smoothie to recharge you.
- 35 gr fresh baby spinach
- 1/2 frozen banana
- 100-150 gr almond or oat milk depending on the thickness
- 1/2 avocado
- 1 tsp hemp powder optional
- 1-2 tsp agave syrup or honey depending on preference
Mix all the ingredients in a blender. Mix until smooth or creamy. If you want to eat it as a smoothie bowl make it thicker.
Agave syrup is sweeter than honey and has a higher concentration of fructose. Therefore, if you add 2 tsp of agave it might be too sweet. I would recommend 2 tsp honey and 1 tsp agave. But it's of course totally up to preference.
